Weak battery in the driver and battery replacement

The controller responds to the press, but does not start the machine.

Replace the LR23 battery. Loosen the screw on the driver lid and pry the lid apart using the nail or screwdriver gap at the bottom.

Jammed machine - cleaning the guide rods. To be carried out as required - at least 1 per year

The machine may start or stutter at low speed. As a rule, it occurs after 6-12 months when exposed to dust and minor dirt. The machine will only start temporarily or only when pushed by hand.

Prepare an Allen or Allen screwdriver 2 and 2,5 and 4,5mm.

Loosen the 2 large screws on the bar on the side of the machine by hand and remove the bar (Figure 1).

Loosen the 2 bolts holding the connecting rod (both bolts right next to each other) and remove the connecting rod using a 2mm and 4.5mm Allen screw. Loosen to the left (i.e. counterclockwise).

Loosen the 8 screws of the steel lid of the machine with a 2.5mm Allen key and remove the lid.

Clean both rods inside the machine (guide bearing) of dirt (sticky oil due to dirt - clogged with dust, hair or other dirt). Apply a light coat of oil to the rods guiding the bearing (using a horsetail or small brush).

Put the machine back together.

The frequency of maintenance depends on the cleanliness of the environment and exposure to dust. When the machine is not in use, we recommend cleaning the machine or covering the holes inside the machine with a cloth.
